A little about me

Hi, I am Pamela.

Wife, mum of two, aunty to a crowd and finance professional by day. I love bringing people together and helping them find their way.

A connector and an executor at heart.

Where I come from

My siblings come to me for a calm, fair view, and for all the family news.

I am the eighth of nine children. My mum has 25 grandchildren, and counting. We are hoping for more.

I can recall family stories in remarkable detail, and I tell them beautifully. They call me the family custodian and the family librarian because of my ability to recall past events. Almost like a relic.

I know how to get a story out of anyone.

Married, with two children. They come first, and they now keep my diary honest. I serve on the governing board at St Vincent's RC, Mill Hill. In faith and community, I am in the engine room, always planning, coordinating and executing. I also teach and speak.

The Purpose Patrol grew out of all three, and from a simple desire: to see every child secure in who they are.

My top five strengths

How I am wired

Harmony

I find the common ground fast, so the room can stop debating and start moving.

Positivity

Never a dull moment around me, even when I am dealing with my own stuff.

Communication

I love a good story, and I tell a good one too.

Connectedness

I do not believe in coincidences. Every person I meet is part of a bigger story.

Arranger

Hand me the moving pieces, the people, the budget and the timeline, and I will make them fit.

Gallup CliftonStrengths ranks 34 talent themes. These are my top five (June 2024). Achiever, Responsibility, Relator, Woo and Includer complete my top ten.

My top gifts

What I carry

Administration

I bring order and calm to big plans, and keep them on track until they are done.

Hospitality

You walk in a stranger and leave feeling at home, or better still, like family.

Service

The engine in the back office. I do not wait to be told what needs doing. It gets done.

Faith

I trust God for ALL things, and then I make a plan.

Encouragement

I encourage people forward, kindly but firmly, until they see what I already see in them.

My top gifts, consistent across four spiritual gifts assessments from 2021 to 2024.

What drives me

To repair what is broken, restore paths for the next generation, and build and plant in every child and family I meet.

My joy is to leave people better than I found them.

My faith shapes everything I build. It is why I give my time to children and families, and why I want this work to reach every child who needs it.

A little more about me

Off duty

Departure lounges

I love everything about airports, especially international ones, and exploring new cities to learn how people there do life.

Real conversations

One honest conversation beats ten polite ones. Bring the tea; I will bring the questions.

Goal-getters

I run goal-setting workshops for children, young adults and adults alike, then keep them on track with accountability sessions through the year.

In at the deep end

Back in swimming lessons. Real progress made, still at it, and proof that it is never too late.
